It will then bring up another page almost like google, click on the link that you want and it brings you to the webpage you were looking for. Randomly you earn swagbucks, they have a swagbuck store and for 450 swagbucks you can buy a $5 Amazon gift card. You can earn 5 gift cards a month. And I do. Brownies... I'm feeling a little depressed and sad so to forget for a second, I rounded up the twins and made brownies!

Happy Easter!

Carlos and Josephina woke up around 8am... And STAYED in their room, just chatting with each other. Baby Sassy Pants woke up around 8:15. So I go and tell the twins good morning, happy Easter and to go tell their dad happy Easter. Go get my baby and tell her happy Easter, and we all go to see what the Easter Bunny left them.

I don't know where I get this tradition but we hid the baskets for the kids in the house, and put eggs outside. The kids had a lot of fun this year, finding their baskets, helping the baby get eggs, she's so smart and figured out there was candy in them and started opening them as soon as she got them.

Saturday we woke up early to go to Lindon park for the Easter egg hunt, then we went to Trafalga. Sunday, we went to Tree's house for Easter dinner. Lots of yummy food (specially the funeral potatoes) :-) And then the kids had another egg hunt. The adults played spoons and NERTS.. Which I freakin sucked at! I just wasn't on top of my game and lost both games!

Well, Walmart got smart.

My friend Krista and I went to the Walmart doubles. We were super excited because it was her first time and I wanted to impress her. :-)

My cart was overflowing, and hers was about half full. I ask the cashier if she is familiar with the doubling coupons on Tuesday and she said, "Yes, are you?" I asked her to explain it to me. She said that they are only doubling to $1 meaning .50c = $1. .75c = $1... $1 is the cap... I said, "Well, I have been coming since you started this and every time you are giving me $1 off every coupon over $1. Meaning if I had a .75c couponing I was getting $1.50 off, if I had a $2 off coupon I was getting $3 off.." She said that they had a meeting about it and $1 is the cap... It really sucked because they had let me do this about 3 or 4 times and I was getting some killer deals. My object was not to steal from WM or do anything wrong.. I was making sure, checking 3,4,5 times that I was buying exactly what the coupon said, making sure to check their store policy to make sure I wasn't being fraudulent.

Basically Krista and I only bought about 1/3 of our carts, had to fill up another cart of the stuff we didn't buy for them to go and put back... I was really hoping that they would just do it the old way just this one last time, seeing all the crap they would have to put away if not.. But they didn't.

So, before coupons it was $147.04 and I only paid $4.70... Still pretty good, just not as good as I wanted! haha

If my kids smell this bad now......

When they are teenagers, I am definitely giving them away! It was really nice out for two days, so the twins played outside all day for those two days. When they come in they smell like dirt and sweat! Do your kids smell like that? It's disgusting and makes me gag. Although, I sure do love having them play outside all day, if only the babies could go out there too. Then I just MIGHT have a clean house. But I won't hold my breath.

I'm insanely jealous of the twins skin too. They have a beautiful tan, after just two freakin days! I was out there for about 30 minutes and I got burnt on my face, and absolutely NO color anywhere else! I know I can tan, I've fake baked before. I just have to get my burn on first, which is lame! My poor baby, I will have to remember to put sun block on her and bring appropriate clothes. If I forgot for the twins, I didn't have to worry, but she will get burned bad!

I wonder if any of you have watched that show called Extreme Couponing on TLC? They're crazy right? I mean, who needs 45 years worth of toilet paper, or over 60 bottles of Mustard? I wish I had the room for that much toilet paper! But I don't need it. As I'm shopping, I am always wondering who I can give it to. I know that sounds really stupid, but I like to help as much as I can. I can't give anyone money, so I might as well give them stuff I can get for free right? I'm really surprised at how many of them are ungrateful too. I couldn't imagine getting something for free from someone and then saying to their face "What's the use of couponing if you're going to just give it away" or "Next time can you buy this brand, flavor, size etc" Give me a freakin break!

Anywho, I am planning on having a yard sale sometime when Utard decides that it's spring. All the proceeds are going to find a cure for Benton's cute nephew Colby who has Cystic Fibrosis. 

Mommy, maybe the Weather man wants to make a pattern and be silly

This is the conversation that Josephina and I just had:

Mommy, I see a pattern outside
Oh yeah? What kind of pattern?
Well, first it's snowing, then it's sunny, then it's snowing, then it sunny. That kind of pattern
Yup, good job! That is a crazy pattern huh? I wish it would just pick one.
Yeah, maybe the weather man wants to make a pattern and be silly.
Yup, maybe so.

Carlos, Josephina, and Baby Sassy Pants

The twins decided to give themselves these names. I just made one up for the baby. I almost died laughing when I heard them call each other that.

The twins used to have a friend named Juan. He was Hispanic, spoke Spanish to his family, and English to everyone else. The kids were so intrigued with him at first, they wanted to know why he spoke different, and why his skin color was brown. They went through a phase where they noticed EVERYONE who was Black, Mexican, Asian, etc. It was embarrassing because they would say it so loud "LOOK MOM, THAT KID IS BLACK!" I would try to explain to them that yes, everyone is different, different skin color, hair, eyes, etc. We try to teach them that it's okay to be different, and other people, and families do things different. Sometimes people do things that we don't and that's okay.

If you've met my sister, you know that we look nothing alike. Well, I think so anyways. She is beautiful, has beautiful brown skin, brown eyes, and dark brown hair. I have White skin, green eyes, and dark brown hair. We have the same mom who is full on Mexican. My kids are only quarter Mexican but Carlos looks a lot more Mexican than I do. Josephina doesn't. Baby Sassy Pants is definitely white! Like, see through white! haha

So, from now on my kids will be known as Carlos, Josephina, and Baby Sassy Pants because I think it's funny.

Man, it's hard to be a good parent.

This is the card that I got from my son today. I scooped into a hug and said, "Of course I still love you! I will always love you forever, no matter how naughty you are, I will always love you."

I never had a good role model on how to raise kids. I think I'm doing pretty damn good considering. I tell my kids I love them a million times a day. I try to praise them when they are good, and I try to set boundaries and reasonable expectations for them.

What brought this letter on is that I yelled at him for doing something for the umpteenth time. I'm not going to tell you what it is, but know that it's disgusting and he's too old to be doing it. I yelled at him and told him that I'm sick of hearing myself yell at him, and that I don't want to do this anymore. I don't want to clean up his messes and I don't know what to do with him anymore. Harsh? Maybe... But seriously, if you only knew how many times he does this in a month.
