These are a few of my favorite things. Day 4, favorite book.

I don't have one specific favorite book but I have a favorite genre. I really enjoy real life stories. I really enjoy reading about other people's lives. I like to hear what they have been through and how they have over come it to be a better person and help others out. Or not. Some of them turn to drugs, alcohol and promiscuity.

I dunno, I guess it reminds  me that I am very blessed for never turning to those kinds of things, considering what I have been through. I should be a smoking, alcohol, drug addicted person. I come from a huge family of people who are alcoholics. I do believe that alcoholism is hereditary. And people who generally have been through what I have, turn to drugs to "forget" all of the pain.

These are a few of my favorite things. Day 2, favorite movie

My favorite grown up movie is Step Mom with Susan Sarandon and Julia Roberts. I cry every time I see it and It's exactly how I would be towards my kids' step mom. I would hate her, and not want to get along with her. But in the end I would realize that it's not what is healthy for my kids, and I would learn to love her and hope that my kids can love her too when I'm gone.

My favorite kid movie is Cinderella I LOVE LOVE LOVE that movie. My grandma told me that I wanted to be her when I was younger, and I loved hearing that from her since I don't remember anything good before the age of 8.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I have so much to be thankful for!
  1. That I am alive today. I am very grateful for that "fling" the bio's had and 9mo later, Ta Da :-)
  2. My beautiful children. I love all of my kids with my whole heart. I am so grateful that My Heavenly Father has blessed me with being able to be their mother. I miss them right now, they are over at Tree's house having Thanksgiving with the family, while I am at home with my sick, sick baby. The hubs is sleeping because he worked 13 and a half hours last night! and has to go back tonight. Not sure where my oldest is, he's with his mom and dad probably at their families house. I haven't called them yet, because I'm a loser.
  3. The hubs. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that man. He is so perfect for me, and I thank my Heavenly Father for sending him to me. There is nobody out there more perfect for me, I'm so grateful for how hard he works for this family.
  4. The Duncan/Dascomb clan. I have known that family for about 12 years now. They are the only family who has stuck with me this long! And I thank them for that. I love them all and am so grateful that I found them when I was 14.
  5. Christmas music, It's so hard to be pist when it's playing on the radio or TV.
  6. My husband's family. They are so amazing and are so good to me! They are such a good example to me and my kids of how a family should work., and even though some of us have our differences, we put it on the back burner when it's family time.
  7. Stumbling into couponing when I did. I feel very blessed this time of year, I have done an AMAZING job with coupons, and am able to afford a really good Christmas for the kids and my husband. I am hoping to get better in the Grocery department!
  8. Photographs. I was going through my scrap booking stuff the other day and just remembering when my kids were born, activities we have done with them, my son's adoption, I looked so young in those pictures! I was such a young, sad girl. I can't believe it's been over 8 years already. I can't believe that the twins are going to be six in less than 4 weeks, and my baby will be 1 in 6 weeks! Time flies, and I miss those days.
  9. I am glad that my Heavenly Father sent me the twins first. My baby was sick yesterday so I dropped the twins off at Tree's house and can't believe how high maintainance she is! I realized yesterday, that really, that's the first time I have been alone with her at the house, and realized just how much I really do rely on the twins! I wasn't ready to be a mom when I had them, and thank goodness they are best friends and love each other so much! They get along 99% of the time, and even when they don't, it's only for a second.
  10. I am so grateful that my brother and sister have chosen to have a relationship with me. Even though their mom disproves, and whatever I put them through when we were young. I am very sorry for the things we went through as children, and am very lucky to have them in my life. And my kids are very lucky as well. I love that baby T and very thankful that my sister allows me to be part of his life as well.
  11. A warm roof over my head, food in my tummy, clothes, shoes. etc
Any many, many more things!

    Oh, Christmas

I am LOVING Christmas this year. I have been blessed in finding couponing.  I have bought about 20 presents and stocking stuffers between the three kids so far and have not even spent $40!! I know, right? Oh, and two for my nephew that were absolutely free! I also have a ton of stuff for my brother and sister that I didn't even spend $5 on!

I even bought myself some Christmas Decor that I LOVE! And have paid only $10 for $50 worth. It's a lot of work, but to me, it's so worth it! I am excited to have the extra money to buy my husband something really nice this year, instead of stupid things like shoes, or chap stick! And to pay bills! It's nice to get a little ahead.

The Elf On The Shelf came to visit us tonight! His name is Charlie. And the kids LOVE him! They seem kind of creeped out that he watches them, and have asked if he can see them in the bathroom. I assured him that he's not looking at them in the bathroom or peeping at them changing. R asked him to ask Santa if he could please bring a toy robot to a little boy who doesn't have a mommy or daddy. He is THEE sweetest little boy! I love how kind he is.

I'm excited to start this tradition with the kids. I don't remember my mom ever doing anything with us. Just the smallest things make my kids so happy, it's so easy to please them. I can't understand why she didn't do these things for us. I want to keep them as innocent as I can. I want my kids to be able to be kids, and not grow up too fast. I want one million times better for my kids, and I feel like we're doing okay so far. This year is baby A's first Christmas and am excited to see her open her presents and teach her how all of this works!
